Joint ASSE/SFPE Meeting

  •  January 23, 2017
     4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

There are a couple of things different about this meeting.  First, it is the 4th Monday because the normal 3rd Monday is MLK day.  Thus the meeting will be on Monday January 23rd at 4:00.  The Speaker (topic outline below) will start promptly at 4:00.  The meal, catered by the Grapevine Restaurant, and social time will be afterwards.

Program: “Preventing Warehouse Total Loss Caused by Excessive Ventilation”

We will review six major warehouse fires where excessive ventilation contributed to a total or near-total loss by causing the fire to accelerate rapidly. We will then present techniques to accomplish the objectives of ventilation without risking rapid fire growth.  We will correlate this with the recent research conducted by UL and NIST on residential fires.

Speaker: John Frank, P.E., CFPS, Senior VP, XL Catlin Property Risk Engineering.

John is heavily involved in pre-emergency planning at large industrial sites.  He spent 19 years in the fire service including service as an Assistant Fire Chief for a 90 person full-time fire department protecting a large military logistics base. He also has 26 years of experience in the Highly Protected Risk (HRP) insurance industry.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
